a Rural Diva?Someone who was born, bred, educated in the city. I had a dream of moving to a farm. Not an uncommon dream, I am told. I found out the hard way. This is not the life that I anticipated. I'm not adverse to hard work, but painting an interior of a house three times to keep the paint from rolling off was just the beginning. It only went down hill from there. We planted numerous gardens. Some for beauty, some for cutting, some for a spaghetti garden. Nothing has worked for us. Not for lack of trying, or for investigating the how-to books. Everything simply wilts in July. A blight....who knows. So I am left with raising my twenty some cats. Sharing space with my daughter and husband. And generally at wits end. I speak to no one. They are not friendly folks. Come here's are frowned upon. New ideas are looked at as 'new fangeled' traps. So I muddle through my days making people laugh at my blogs. Learning all I can about homeopathic remedies for my cats and dogs. Reading everything in sight. But if I have a choice I prefer a good mystery. I love art.....to admire. On a really good day I will restore furniture. ![]() ![]()
